Decide using the spoken content, not just the picture
For a public product demo, sending audio may fit your requirements. For a confidential interview, the speech itself may be the material you are required to protect. Check your client agreement and your organization’s processing rules before starting.
If your requirement is that no media data leaves the device, this workflow does not meet it. Use a transcription tool whose offline processing you have verified.
What keeping the video local changes
You avoid transferring the full source video for processing. This can be useful with a large recording, but it is not a promise of instant transcription or export.
Keep the original file available, allow the browser to finish rendering and verify the saved file. For demanding exports, a desktop with adequate free storage may be more practical than a phone.
